Priyanka Chahar Choudhary discloses on not doing TV shows anymore

She exclusively told us, “It’s not like that. So, okay, basically the reason I didn’t choose TV is because TV is a long-term commitment, and I wasn’t ready for that at that point in time. Why? Because I wanted to explore myself as an actor, and that’s why I chose this path. It’s not like I’ll never do TV. TV made me who I am today, and I have full respect for it. And it’s not like if I get a really good role, I’ll be like, “Let’s do this.” I wouldn’t mind doing it, but for now, I’m just not ready for a long-term commitment in terms of acting. I want to explore myself as an actor.

Choudhary further added, “I think that since the arrival of OTT platforms, people are getting more opportunities. For outsiders like me, it was quite difficult, but because of OTT, there’s a platform where you can present a lot of content. There’s a lot of space to get into, so I think the scope for actors has increased a bit, and it’s a good thing.”

Priyanka on working culture on television

Talking about long working hours on Television, the Udaariyaan actor said, “I’m okay with it because I’m fine with hard work; I have no issues with that. But I feel like there should be some rules and regulations. If it’s 12 hours, then it should be 12 hours. An hour or two extension occasionally is fine, but not every time. I can’t do that because, after all, I’m human and I need some sleep too.” She then continued, “But still, generally speaking, 12 hours is enough to work. After that, everyone needs their own time. So yeah, but I’m okay with hard work; like, I want to do hard work, and I think that works in my favour because only when I put in the hard work do I get my reward.”
